Princeton, NJ – November 19, 2024 – Gretalia Hospitality Group and Share My Meals (SMM) are joining forces to address food insecurity and reduce food waste in New Jersey. Every Monday, Gretalia Hospitality Group will donate 10% of proceeds from 9 of its restaurants across the state to SMM.
Participating restaurants include:
- PJ’s Pancake House (Lawrenceville, Princeton, Robbinsville, Ewing, West Windsor, Kingston)
- Osteria Procaccini (Pennington)
- More Than Q (Princeton)
- Tavola Rustica (Lambertville)
SMM recovers surplus healthy meals from large cafeterias and delivers them to individuals and families in need. Since the organization began its Meal Recovery Program, they have recovered over 206,000 healthy meals, saving 280,000 pounds of food from ending up in landfills thus preventing more than 1.2 million pounds of CO2 emissions.
The new partnership with Gretalia Hospitality Group will help SMM expand its operations and ultimately serve more food insecure residents in New Jersey. “We want to express our gratitude to John Procaccini and the Gretalia team, and to all future customers who will dine with purpose,” said Hélène Lanctuit, CEO of Share My Meals. “Food insecurity is a pressing and growing issue for our neighbors. Partnerships like this help us address urgent needs while fostering a sense of community.”
