1000 Meals before the End of Memorial Day Weekend
Princeton, NJ – Wednesday, May 13, 2020 — Princeton, known for its prestigious university and diversity of businesses, hides an unfortunate reality: a significant food insecure population, who are being disproportionately affected by the COVID-19.
Every day Share My Meals distributes over 300 meals to more than 60 families. This is not enough. The pandemic is creating a dire situation for those in need.
Share My Meals is a 501(c) (3) organization working to alleviate hunger and food waste through the distribution of reclaimed meals from corporate cafeterias, schools, universities, and restaurants to people experiencing food insecurity in Princeton.
When the COVID-19 pandemic forced businesses to close, Share My Meals shifted to a new model, partnering with Princeton restaurants and purchasing meals for the cost of goods.
Donations directly and immediately help Share My Meals to deliver fresh healthy meals to the hungry community in Princeton.
